1 Corinthians 13:4-7

1 Corinthians 13:4-7, NIV: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Love (and Valentine's day) is finding a lost dog, an unscheduled doctor's appointment on a Saturday, waiting for the furnace repair guy, eating dinner by candlelight in the kitchen with people who spill rice all over the place, playing hide and seek in the house, revelling in the loot contained in a shoebox mailbox, winning at tickle fights, and remembering that one day (too)soon, it really will be a romantic dinner for two.

Happy Valentine's Day to my Sweetheart. Thanks for the fabulous gift for my finger, the two wonderful ones to hold in my arms, and getting to spend every day loving you.

  4. There are days (like after a 3-day weekend) that I think the alone time is an eternity away. But then I look back and realize how fast everyone is growing up, and it really won't be too long before they're gone.

  6. I second the greeting card idea!
Now I feel really guilty about my Valentine post for my husband.:)
If only you would write a greeting card for me so that I could give it to him!

  7. You should make a badge that says Tickle Champion and post it on your blog...and possibly on a fancy shirt. Sounds like a fun Valentine's Day!
