It's Snowing!!!!

Okay, so it in no way compares to what's happening in DC, but it is the biggest snow storm in this part of Texas in 30 years. Enough to build a snowman!
We're completely ill-equipped for this - no one has quite the right shoes or gloves, but it turns out that little people don't really care, and do thaw out eventually. We tried "snowflake ice-cream sundaes" (sweetened condensed milk poured over extrememly clean snow), and loved them!
Good luck with whatever weather you are encountering at the moment!

  1. We had only a few flakes to enjoy. Lucky you!

  2. How fun! I'm still waiting for enough snow to take my kids sledding. :(

  3. Glad the kids got to experience snow. And mine do have the proper outer wear and choose not to wear it because they know they'll eventually thaw out too.

  5. My drive home from the fire-ant capital of the world in a blizzard with Texas drivers was slightly less magical.

  6. This is a perfect example of people taking for granted what is right before their eyes. My kids have talked about building a snowman all season (and had PLENTY of opportunity to do so), yet haven't managed to get it done. Way to take advantage of the opportunity - adorable!

  7. How fun! I'm glad your little ones were able to enjoy the snow experience. When we lived in NC we missed having it (a little), but have had our fill now that we live in New England!

  8. Funny how when it's more rare it's more fun...you're kids looked well enough equipped and I love your snow treat idea! I'll have to try that with Evan.

  9. How cool is that!
We were just thinking how crazy it is that outside feels a little like Spring in UT today! Usually Feb isn't the best running weather, but it sure has been lately.
They all (including the dog)look like they are loving every minute of it!
