"Mickey Mouse No Eat Me"

We are taking our annual family vacation in a few weeks, and are busily preparing our fragile psyches kids for an adventure in the happiest place on earth.

The marketing machine that is Disney has started to send us things, including cute little luggage tags that arrived in the folder pictured on the right.

To me, this looks like a very happy mouse meeting a little boy. To a 2-year-old Pink, this looks a little more intimidating.

Pink: Mommy?
Green: Yes, sweetheart?
Pink (with fear in her eyes): Mickey Mouse no eat me?
Green: No, Mickey won't eat you, he's smiling.
Pink (in a suspicious tone): Mickey mouse nice?

I'm patting myself on the back for not scheduling a breakfast with the big-headed characters.

  2. That was my comic relief for the day - tell Pink 'Thanks'! Good thing that mommy instinct kicked in and averted a breakfast disaster. :>

  3. Awwww, so cute! We didn't do any character meals or even wait in line to see anyone up close. My 5 and 2 yr olds were happy to wave from afar.

  4. I'm dying! That's great. Let me know how it all goes--we're heading to Disney World in May.

  5. I could see why she'd be scared. Larger than life mice have a tendency to do that! Have a fun vacation!

  6. I have an entire roll of film (yes, it was back when we used rolls of film) of my oldest eating his food while sitting underneath the table at the character breakfast - you made the right choice :)
